2012 TEDxManhattan “Changing the Way We Eat” Videos Online & On DVD
Earlier this year, New York City learned about how we can inspire change in the way we eat at the one-day TEDx Manhattan event at the Times Forum. The Glynwood Institute for Sustainable Food and Farming was lead sponsor of the event that focused specifically on how we can promote a more sustainable, local approach to producing and eating food. Now, the entire day of presentations from leading innovators and professionals is available online – the videos can be viewed via YouTube.
Speakers for the event were:
Patty Cantrell – Regional Food Systems
Marianne Cufone – Recirculating Farms Coalition
Mitchell Davis – James Beard Foundation
Wenonah Hauter – Food & Water Watch
Howard Hinterthuer – Center for Veteran’s Issues
Michelle Hughes – Greenmarket/GrowNYC
Fred Kirschenmann – Leopold Center for Sustainable Ag/Stone Barns Center
Robert Lawrence – Center for a Livable Future/Johns Hopkins University

The Glynwood Institute has also created Dinner and Some Ed, a website and project to encourage consumers to host a sustainable meal and enjoy discussions around TED and TEDx talks on sustainable food. The meals tie in perfectly with the 2012 TEDxManhattan DVD.
