Growing Local NOLA

Growing Local NOLA

Growing Local NOLA Community Farm & Garden

We are a New Orleans urban farm that brings sustainable food production, free health-supportive community classes, and comprehensive agriculture training to our Central City neighborhood and beyond.

In addition to our own farm site, we partner with others through the Growing Local On the Geaux program to create community green and garden spaces around the city for free community classes and events.

Recirculating Farms Coalition has worked to promote water-based farming throughout the US for over 9 years — a cause that’s been going strong for over 40. With Growing Local NOLA, we went boots-on-the-ground to build and sustain a working aquaponic farm right here in our hometown of New Orleans. Through bringing residents on-site to see the possibilities, we’re developing a movement toward more and better community-driven farming.
